The General Administration of Anti -Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security confirmed that it has not been received until the moment, that is, official reports related to the case of fraud related to a platform called “Professor” or (PCEX) according to what was circulated by many media and social media sites, which reported that citizens were subjected to installation under the cover of alleged electronic investments.
The administration called on everyone who was subjected to any fraud to apply for an official communication through the website of the administration, or the application of “my government”, or to contact the hotline (992), or through personal attendance to the administration headquarters, pointing to the importance of the initiative to report any suspicion, to ensure the necessary legal measures are taken in time.
She emphasized that the aforementioned platform is not licensed and not included in the financial institutions approved by the Central Bank of Bahrain, which makes its activity outside the legal frameworks, and exposes those who deal with them to severe financial risks, warning against deception with false promotional advertisements that spread through social media, and take advantage of individuals’ desire to achieve quick profits, without the availability of any official guarantees or control.
The General Administration of Anti -Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security called on citizens and residents to verify the entities they deal with, and not to enter into any electronic investment transactions except after ensuring that the company concerned obtains the official license from the Central Bank The deterrent against them.
