The high rates of traffic accidents are a dilemma that leaves a lot of damage, whose causes are often due to the busy phone while driving and not paying attention to the road, which has become a threat to the safety of others and their lives, so the necessary measures must be taken regarding these wrong behaviors, by intensifying efforts to achieve traffic safety and ensuring the flow of movement on the roads easily and easily, and also to protect individuals And property and reduce traffic accidents.
That is what the General Traffic Department pays attention to redoubling its efforts with the intensification of traffic patrols in the roads, especially those that are witnessing more crowded, in all streets to organize traffic and preserve the safety of road users and the country’s gains. Pictures of traffic safety are also evident in allocating a week of every year that is concerned with its issues in detail and discusses its solutions, and that is what we have witnessed days ago Few as the activities of the Gulf Traffic Week 2025, which marked the slogan this year with “leadership … without a phone” with many governmental and private institutions, coincided with the celebration of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the unified traffic week, which carries many goals, most notably facilitating the safe paths of Arab Gulf states from citizens and residents alike.
All activities organized by schools, universities, ministries and other institutions united to highlight the axis of the risk of preoccupation with the phone while driving, as it is one of the most behaviors that negatively affect traffic safety, because of the dispersal of the driver’s attention and lack of focus on the road, which raises the possibility of accidents, which leads to loss of life and severe injuries.
What is really unfortunate is that despite the awareness of the dangers of using the phone during driving, some drivers are still continuing this behavior for multiple reasons, including weak traffic awareness, the absence of a sense of responsibility in a group of drivers, as well as the urgent desire to browse applications and respond to conversation and text messages.
We hope that when the activities of the Gulf Traffic Week end, the vigilance of each driver does not end and a sense of responsibility towards society, and the need to have morals and adhere to the laws and traffic regulations, to ensure the safety of individuals and roads from accidents, because the bodies after permanent disabilities will not return to their safety as they were, asking God to perpetuate security and safety for everyone.
