The Southern Rabaa representative, the municipal director, Mohamed Darraj, revealed that after a waiting period of 21 years, the ownership of the land of the Umm Al -Qura Mosque in the Al -Hujayat area was transferred to the complex of 939 to the Sunni endowments, saying that the property on which the mosque is owned is owned by the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and that the mosque has been based on it for many years, and bears the name “Umm Al -Qura Mosque. To transfer ownership to the administration concerned with the role of worship, which is represented in the administration of the Sunni Endowments, noting that the transfer of ownership will contribute to enabling the entity to act according to what it deems appropriate, where maintenance, expansion, demolition and reconstruction can be done, indicating that the mosque can accommodate 500 worshipers, and that it needs to be restored.
