This year, while we celebrate the fifty -second anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Turkey and the Kingdom of Bahrain, I would like to take this opportunity to emphasize the deep fraternal ties between Turkey and Bahrain, and to reaffirm the principles that guided our established partnerships over the decades.
Although the Turkish -Bahraini diplomatic relations were officially established in 1973, the cultural and human ties between our peoples precede the official borders for decades. The sincere friendship between our people is tangible, which creates a fertile ground for the development of our relations continuously over the years, from diplomacy to educational exchange, and from trade to tourism, our cooperation has witnessed steady growth in its scope and depth and thanks to mutual respect, common interests and a strong sense of regional responsibility, that Turkey and Bahrain enjoy a strong partnership that looks forward to the future.
In Bahrain, we hear the voice of wisdom and moderation that resonates to enhance regional and international peace. Under the wise leadership of His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, we remain committed to seizing every opportunity to enhance fruitful cooperation.
At the beginning of the year 2025, we were proud to host His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Salman Al -Muslim, Speaker of the House of Representatives in Türkiye, at the invitation of His Excellency Professor Dr. Noman Kortolmush, Speaker of the Great Turkish National Assembly. It was a great start for this year to enhance our relationship. We are also honored to host His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, within the activities of the fourth edition of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, where his visit is embodied in our firm solidarity and our joint diplomatic vision.
In addition to high -level visits and the volume of trade exchange, the depth of our real relationship is evident in our daily aspects. It is in the generosity of Bahraini hospitality, which welcomes Turkish guests with open arms, as I saw the best example of this during my visits to Ramadan councils across the country. The generosity of the Bahraini hospitality and kindness is exceptional, and this noble, peaceful and hospitable people inspired me. Moreover, our friendship is strengthened through the common aspirations of students who cross the borders in pursuit of knowledge, and through the steps of tourists who explore new cities, and through cultural curiosity that links our people year after year.
On this special occasion, I extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Excellency Foreign Minister Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and to the brotherly people of Bahrain for their support and established partnership. I also praised the Turkish community in Bahrain, the source of our pride and our greatest pride, which is still working as a cultural ambassador to our nation.
I hope that the ties between Türkiye and Bahrain will grow strongly, rooted in respect, rich in cooperation, and loaded with the breezes of the common ideals.
