Sources familiar with the investigations of the case in which the producing case, Sarah Khalifa, have committed crimes of manufacturing and promoting narcotic substances, that she had transferred most of her money into a number of her relatives and close friends a few days before she was arrested.
Investigations in the case of Sarah Khalifa
The sources pointed out that the producer, Sarah Khalifa, turned money into accounts belonging to her two sisters and some friends, in an attempt to remove her money from the eyes of the supervisory authorities and fortify them from the potential reservation of her property.
The investigation authorities issued a decision to seize all property of the producer Sarah Khalifa, headed by the beauty center owned by her, in addition to examining the project financing sources, and knowing whether it was used in money laundering operations.
The investigation authorities also requested to inquire about all immovable properties that may be registered in the name of their relatives or those close to them, as part of a path that follows money and income sources.
The investigation authorities also called for inquiries about real estate, apartments, lands, and residential and commercial units, to ensure whether they were registered with the names of intermediaries or relatives for the purpose of camouflage on their real source, in an attempt to hide the funds resulting from illegal activities under investigation.
Earlier, the competent investigative authorities in New Cairo decided to renew the imprisonment of the producer Sarah Khalifa and 5 others, in the case of the manufacture of narcotic drugs for 15 days pending investigations, while reserving the accused’s money and freezing their assets in banks.
