Al -Malab newspaper – A cardiologist made his testimony, in which he stated that Diego Maradona was considered a “highly dangerous patient”, and said that the administration of the medical center in which he underwent surgery days before his death recommended that the former national team captain should recover in a rehabilitation center instead of a private house.
“A highly dangerous patient suffers from withdrawal symptoms and requires great care,” Sebastian Nani, head of the heart disease department at the Olivos Medical Center.
Maradona, who led the Argentina team to win the World Cup in 1986, died on November 25, 2020 while undergoing home care in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, days after undergoing surgery to remove a hematoma that forms between his skull and his brain. He was 60 years old.
Last week, Diego Maradona and a doctor also questioned the decision to transfer him to a private house after surgery instead of entering a rehabilitation center.
One of the main evidence of the prosecution against the accused.
Nani highlighted the difference in opinions between the hospital administration and two of the defendants close to the former player – the neurosurgeon Leopoldo Loki and the psychiatrist Agustina Kosachov – who suggested that the hospital continued in a private house in the town of Tigre, about 40 km from the capital.
The cardiologist stressed that he was outside the clinic, “Maradona was 100% responsibility for Loki.”
Loki was the personal physician of Maradona in the last four years of his life, while Kosachov prescribed medications that Maradona had taken until the time of his death.
In addition to Loki and Kosachov, the psychologist Carlos Diaz is also being tried; Doctors Nancy Vorlini and Pedro de Spain, Mariano Peroni, representative of the company that provided nursing service, and nurse Ricardo Almeiron.
