His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, issued Resolution No. (26) of 2025 to nominate the competent administrative authority and the competent minister of societies, cultural and technical clubs and private institutions of cultural and artistic character and determining their competences, based on the offer of the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and after the approval of the Council of Ministers, it stated:
Article 1:
The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities will have the powers of the competent administrative authority, and the Chairman of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities will have the powers of the competent minister, regarding societies and cultural and technical clubs, and private institutions of cultural and artistic character, stipulated in the law of societies, social and cultural clubs and private bodies working in the field of youth, sports and private institutions issued by Decree Law No. (21) of 1989, and the Bahrain Culture Authority begins Archeology and Chairman of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities are the specializations stipulated in this law.
Article Two:
Resolution No. (7) of 2012 is canceled by naming the competent administrative authority and the minister concerned with cultural societies and determining their competencies.
Article Three:
The Minister of Cabinet Affairs must implement the provisions of this decision, and it is made from the day following the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
