Many people from the city of Tire in southern Lebanon received with great dissatisfaction with the news that unknown persons burned the image of the President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, who was raised in the city, and considered that this act “does not express the ethics of its children.”
The process of burning the image came on Friday night-Saturday, after Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qasim appeared on Friday evening, in which he strongly attacked everyone who demands the disarmament of the party.
No one has adopted the burning of the image, while many parties denounced this act.
Likewise, Hezbollah was satisfied with denouncing the action “in narrow episodes” and without the issuance of any official statement of its media relations department that confirms this condemnation and declares its rejection of what happened.
In the information for Al -Arabiya.net and Al -Hadath.net, the Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, Hezbollah ally, received a “severe discontent” the news of burning Aoun’s image in Tire.
Berri asked a senior official in the “Amal” movement, which he heads, and in the municipality of Tire, to upload new photos of the President of the Republic in the city, stressing “the need to hold the perpetrators accountable.”
This comes after unknown persons burned the image of Joseph Aoun in Tire, days after it was raised, and they also burned the Lebanese flag.
