The Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stressed that his country maintains close relations from the countries of the Middle East and Islamic countries, pointing to wars and contradictions between countries, which may worsen global crises.
Lukashenko said during a television interview that conflicts in the world may expand in the future, and we take all these conflicts in mind, we see that these conflicts are exacerbated, and the situation will get worse due to the wars and diplomatic, political and economic contradictions that have not been resolved, today is a commercial and economic war, and it is clear that it may develop into a military confrontation.
Relations between Belarus and Russia
The President of Belarus was asked whether Belarus and Russia, as two members in the Union State, took into account the new threats caused by the conflict in the Middle East, the possible confrontation with Iran and other developments, Lukashenko stressed that Russia cannot ignore this, and has two military bases in Syria.
He added: Iran is an ally of Russia, she did not generate its back, but rather helped, and still helps as much as it can, and links us with close economic relations, to take tension between the United States and China for example, it is very dangerous, but explosive, thanks to China, it can somehow contain it, for this reason, Russia cannot stand idle, and we are allies for Russia, and we have a common defensive space.
Lukashenko pointed out that Belarus also maintains close relations with Iran and the Middle East, and said: I have very excellent relations with Islamic countries, they have respected me a long time ago.
