Banks resume work tomorrow after the end of the Eid Al -Fitr holiday 2025

Many citizens are awaiting the date of the banks’ resumption of their activity and the reception of customers again after the end of the Eid Al -Fitr holiday 2025, in order to benefit from various banking services and financial transactions.

According to the statement of the Central Bank of Egypt, the banks operating in the banking sector are scheduled to return to work again tomorrow morning, Thursday, April 3, 2025, after the end of the Eid Al -Fitr holiday 2025.

The Central Bank announced the details of the Eid Al -Fitr holiday 2025 for banks, before the Shawwal Crescent survey, as the bank has set the date for disrupting the work in all banks operating in Egypt from Sunday, March 30, 2025 until Tuesday, April 1, 2025, provided that the work will be resumed on Wednesday morning, April 2, 2025.

The Central Bank of Egypt indicated in an official statement that if the legal vision of the Shawwal Crescent 1446 AH resulted in the fact that Monday, March 31, 2025, is the first day of the month of Shawwal 1446 AH, the leave will extend until Wednesday, April 2, 2025, with the work be resumed on the morning of Thursday, April 3, 2025.

The start of applying fees to transfer money via Instabai starting in April

The Central Bank announced that the instant payments network would start applying fees for “Instabai” services from April 1.

In a statement, the instant payments network announced the launch of a new update for fees and definitions of its services, including the services provided through its application “Instabai”, as of April 1, 2025. This announcement comes within the framework of the continuous commitment of the network to provide innovative and effective digital financial services that meet the needs of users, to ensure the development of the service and sustainability.

The network has set the new fees for conversion through the “Instabai” application to be 0.1% of the value of the transaction, with a minimum of 50 piasters and a maximum of 20 Egyptian pounds per treatment, as the application will provide 10 inquiries about the balance or the detection of the short account for free for each customer, provided that a fee of 50 piasters is applied to each additional inquiry process, and this step comes in light of the large expansion witnessed by the application Instabai since its launch in April 2022, as transfer and inquiry services have been provided for free for the past three years.
