The exhibition of the artist “Louis Jawad” opened one: objective trips via glass “at the Arts Center of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities in the presence of Sheikha Dawa bint Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, member of the National Council for Arts, and a number of ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries, and officials of the authority, as well as a group of artists and those interested in cultural affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The exhibition, which continues until April 30, takes its visitors on a visual journey that moves between personal meditation and travel through time and space, in the context of seven unique axes, which the artist Lewis formulated with a dynamic visual manipulation, and according to an innovative handy technique, using molten glass.
The artist reshaped the glass and sculpting it from the zero point, within unique pieces and different shapes, listed his artistic vision and reflects his inspiration for architectural heritage, sustainability and cultural identity, and emphasizes the development of his experience and the diversity of his visual expressive methods.
It is noteworthy that the artist Louis Jawad is famous for his works that mix traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, and his overall works are focused on sustainability and the use of local materials as basic elements. By studying a master’s degree in glass and architecture, he created glass works that embody the concepts of culture and environmental responsibility. It has many posts at the local and international level.
