Dr. Hani Swailem, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, issued directives to all the leaders of the ministry and heads of the central departments of water resources and irrigation in the governorates to raise the degree of readiness, and prepare for all equipment for all parties and departments to contribute to immediate dealing in the event of any emergency during the next two days, and to calculate the bad weather conditions expected tomorrow, Wednesday, in light of the meteorological warnings.

He also directed immediate coordination between all officials to deal with any emergency to ensure the stability of water levels in safe degrees and reassure the state of bridges with canals and drains, and to ensure the readiness of operating lifting stations and mobile emergency units to deal with any water congestion that may occur in any site on the water sewage network.
Earlier, the Meteorological Authority issued an air warning about the country’s exposure to a five -day depression tomorrow, Wednesday, accompanied by a strong wind of sand and dust, which may reach a speed of between 40 and 60 km/h in most parts.
The authority warned of winds ranging from 70 and 80 km/h, which may lead to a decrease in the horizontal visibility of less than 1000 meters, especially on areas of the north of Upper Egypt, in the south of the country, east of Greater Cairo, the cities of the canal, the Gulf of Suez and Sinai.
