Lawyer Dalal Jassim Al -Zayed, a member of the delegation of the Parliamentary Division of the Kingdom of Bahrain, a member of the Committee for Promoting Respect for International Humanitarian Law of the International Parliamentary Union, confirmed that the visions and directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, may God protect and preserve him, established the role and contributions of the Kingdom of Bahrain in supporting relief efforts and the advancement of humanitarian actions, praising the record of the Kingdom of Bahrain. With humanitarian and honorable situations, which reflect the continued cooperation and provision of support and assistance to the peoples and countries, and the government’s efforts in this field headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him.
This came during a working paper presented by His Excellency Lawyer Dalal Al -Zayed, in front of the meeting of the Committee to Promote respect for international humanitarian law, which was held today (Monday) within the work of the 150th General Assembly of the International Parliamentary Union, which is held in the city of Tashkent in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Al -Zayed indicated that the Kingdom of Bahrain is keen to cooperate and provide support and assistance, whether medical, financial or relief to a number of countries, in support of the field of justice and social development, and all the mechanisms that are respected and guaranteed human rights.
Al -Zayed reviewed the role and efforts made by the institutions and bodies concerned with human rights and the provision of humanitarian aid, as well as popular contributions in supporting and successful humanitarian and relief campaigns.
In the context of the worksheet, Al -Zayed warned of the necessity of protecting children who are exposed to war and conflicts by allocating a competent judicial body to consider their cases as victims, and that work to rehabilitate and integrate them and provide support and legal assistance to them.
Al -Zayed explained that the committee meeting discussed the draft resolution, which will be presented to the work of the ruling council of the International Parliamentary Union, regarding the humanitarian conditions that some countries in the world are going through, as a result of conflicts and conflicts, and how to focus on the arrival of aid and the protection of civilians.
Al -Zayed indicated that the meeting witnessed the presence of a number of international bodies concerned, which presented a number of its reports on a number of issues, noting that the meeting also discussed cooperation and work with governments to enhance respect and ensure the implementation of international humanitarian law and build partnerships.
In the same context, the committee discussed during its meeting the mechanisms of dealing internationally, legislatively and procedurally to confront modern technologies in wars, and the use of cyber operations to disrupt basic government services, as well as electricity, water and medical care.
