The Municipal Council of the Northern Region approved the recommendation of the urgency in the completion of the second phase of the Barbar Park.
The proposal presenter, head of the Municipal Council, said. Sayed Shubr Al -Wadai The proposal constitutes an important addition in the march of strategic work for the Kingdom of Bahrain in working on the completion of tourism and recreational projects, and enhances the trend in meeting the demands of the local community in the village of Barbar and the neighboring villages in providing vital sites for comfort and recreation, and that this approach represents an important step in enhancing the sustainable city ingredients that represent a major edition in the goals of the national project for sustainable development.
He added that the approval of the recommendation for the urgency in the completion of the second phase of the Barbar Park came in response to the demands of the people who were submitted to the municipal council and in response to the proposals of the institutions of the civil society in the village of Barbar and to activate what was agreed upon with the competent department in municipal projects affairs within the joint meetings that lasted for a period of two years, and in its context, the technical proposals of the project were prepared and discussed, in order to push for the urgency in the completion of the second stage The park is within the financial package 2024 – 2026.
Al -Wadai stressed that the step adopted by the council embodies the insightful view of the conscious municipal work in enhancing the process of working on the completion of projects of economic, social and civilizational value, expressing its aspiration until the decision finds its positive impact on the government represented by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture.
