In a strategic move aimed at enhancing academic cooperation and exchanging scientific experiences between Arab universities, the Gulf University signed an agreement with an understanding with the Jordanian University of Petra, with the aim of enhancing joint cooperation in the fields of scientific research, developing academic programs, and exchanging knowledge between the teaching and administrative cadres in both institutions..the distance signing ceremony, through the visual communication technology, in the presence of the President of the Gulf University, Professor Muhannad Al -Furas, And the President of Al -Baytara University, Dr. Rami Abdel Rahim, along with the deans of colleges at the Gulf University, and a number of officials of Petra University. This agreement aims to establish an active academic partnership that benefits the two sides, especially in light of the modern challenges facing the world’s higher education sector. The agreement includes multiple items aimed at intensifying cooperation between the two universities in many academic and scientific fields. Among the most prominent things agreed upon: The implementation of joint research projects that contribute to advancing scientific progress in the Arab region, organizing scientific conferences, seminars and workshops that bring researchers and students from various specialties. The agreement also includes the faculty exchange program, where professors and researchers from both universities will be able to conduct joint research, and this initiative will provide students with the opportunity to benefit from scientific diversity and enhance their research skills. In this context, Professor Muhannad Al -Farras expressed his happiness with signing the agreement, noting that “this partnership comes in the context of the continuous Gulf University’s efforts to expand its network of relations and strengthen Cooperation with the major universities in the region. He added that “the Gulf University focuses on building strategic partnerships with prominent academic institutions, and this cooperation with Petra University is an important step towards achieving these goals.
