The Spanish coach Jose Rivero, the coach of the Orlando team in South Africa, confirmed his refusal to compare his confrontation with Al-Ahly in the group stage competitions, and his confrontation with his counterpart Pyramids in the framework of the CAF Champions League semi-final 2024-2025.
Orlando coach: Al -Ahly’s confrontation is different from Pyramids
Rivero said in press statements: We cannot compare Pyramids meeting with our victory over Al -Ahly here in Cairo with two goals in the group stage confrontations, the confrontation that will bring us together with the Pyramids team today is different because it is in the Champions League semi -final.
He added: Upon reaching the exclusionary stage, everything changes, the ambition of winning changes, before we came to Cairo to score 3 points from Al -Ahly and compete to ascend from the group stage, so the circumstances of each match different from each team, and the negative tie in the first leg made us in a special position, everything became available to the two teams.
Orlando coach concluded his statements by saying: From the first day before the start of the season, we make an effort and work seriously, we put ourselves in front of a challenge to become better than we were last season, in which we were unable to climb from the group stage, and we seek to add a new chapter in our story in this tournament
The first football team of the Pyramids Club will meet its counterpart Orlando Pirates, today, Friday, at nine o’clock Cairo time, in the match that brings them together in the second leg of the CAF Champions League semi -finals.
