The Ain Shams University Awards Committee held its meeting chaired by Dr. Muhammad Dia Zain Al -Abidin, President of the University, to present the results of the university awards for the year 2024.
The meeting witnessed the attendance of Dr. Amani Osama Kamel, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, Dr. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, as well as the general supervisor of the university’s award office, colleges deans, the Assistant Secretary of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, and the Director of the General Department of Scientific Research.
Promote the spirit of academic and research distinction
The meeting discussed the results of the final evaluation of the prizes presented, which varied between the University of Appreciation Award with 17 awards distributed in 8 different fields, and each of them is 100 thousand Egyptian pounds, and the university award for the pioneers with 6 awards in 6 areas and the value of the one award 70 thousand pounds, in addition to the University Appreciation Award for Women, which is granted in 4 areas and a value of 30 thousand pounds for each award, in addition to the University of the University Prize It is awarded in 5 areas with a total of 10 awards, and the value of each prize is 25 thousand Egyptian pounds.
The number of applicants for this year for this year reached about 80 members of the faculty and the assisting body, from all university colleges who have fulfilled the conditions for candidacy during the application period that spanned from October 1 to December 31, 2024.
The committee approved the results of the jury’s work committees, which included five specialized arbitrators for each award, where the envelopes of assessments were opened, and the committee ended to present the final results and raise recommendations to the university council for permanently approved them.
This meeting comes within the framework of Ain Shams University’s thesis aimed at enhancing the spirit of academic and research excellence, and honoring its creative scholars and professors in various fields, which contributes to enhancing the university’s position locally and internationally.
