The Pakistani Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif, confirmed that the Pakistani army is not planning to start any military operations against India, unless the latter takes escalation steps.
In an interview with the Russian “RIA Novosti” agency, Asif said: “We have no intention to start any work, but if there is any work (on the part of India), there will be a reaction, and the response will be proportional to the action.”
He added that his country does not seek to escalate the situation or initiate any attack, stressing that any attempt by India to attack Pakistan will be met with a decisive response.
The statements of the Pakistani Defense Minister came in the wake of the terrorist attack that took place last Tuesday near the city of Bahgham in the Jammu and Kashmir region, when gunmen fired randomly at tourists in the famous tourist Valley of Baysran.
