She pointed out that the real danger is that these platforms target the youth category in particular, and are presented to them and they are rapid gain and sudden wealth without making any effort or work, and feeding them in the culture of dependency, greed and electronic addiction, as well as a state of psychological, mental and behavioral raits, as a result of the repeated losses incurred by users.
She continued: In addition, these platforms operate outside the legal and tax control of the state, and represent a dangerous door of money laundering, and the transfer of currencies abroad in illegal ways, threatening Egyptian economic security directly, draining foreign currency, and disrupting the local economy movement.
Representative Miral Al -Haridi called for a comprehensive national move to address this phenomenon, which includes all the state’s bodies, whether political or religious in order to develop a clear strategy to confront the danger of electronic betting, begin with awareness and warning, and extend to legal prosecution, and end with the development of strict legislation that criminalizes engaging in these activities, whether by promoting, participating or even facilitating, with the need to include a clear item that criminalizes a contract Any media, propaganda or sports entity with these platforms, and preventing them from caring for any content or activity within the Egyptian state
It also demanded that all of them stand, whether a legislative, executive or judicial authority one row in the face of this threat, which infiltrated us slowly and then quickly expanded, and it cannot be tolerated, because it does not threaten a specific individual, but rather threatens all generations in its awareness and fate, and threatens the security and stability of society as a whole, and the development efforts made by the state from its roots, if the citizen is left alone.
