A Turkish man and his two children were killed, and the mother was injured, when part of a rock shelf collapsed on a car wash in which the afflicted family stopped temporarily to clean their vehicle.
A video clip documented the horrific moments of the incident that occurred in the state of Samsun, in northern Türkiye, when a large bloc of soil fell on the car wash and the family in it.
The two girls were in the car when the accident occurred, while the father washed his vehicle himself, and the mother stands close to them, before they disappeared in one moment under a large pile of dirt and rocks.
Local media said that the rescue teams recovered family members from under the soil and the rubble, but Father Adam Kaya (35 years) and his two children Ayla (7 years) and Echilia Lina (5 years), died in the incident.
The mother, “Cheekdim” (31 years old), escaped an incredibly death, and is currently receiving hospitalization from many injuries, including fractures.
The car wash is located near a shopping center on a highway, but the frightening collapse occurred late Sunday night, and it came only on the laundry, and did not cause other people.
The Turkish Minister of Justice, Yilmaz Tontich, offered his condolences on the death of the family, and said that the Public Prosecution had opened an investigation to uncover the circumstances of the accident.
The incident sparked great sadness on social media in Türkiye, where the victims spent suddenly and unexpectedly spent.
