The danger of death by starvation

As the occupation siege continues to the Gaza Strip and closed the crossings, the human suffering is exacerbated, and the World Food Program said that two million people in Gaza, most of whom are displaced and have no income, are fully dependent on food aid.

The program warned that Gaza strongly needs food, with the decrease in the inventory of the necessary foodstuffs and the continued closure of the crossings, warning that hundreds of thousands of people in the sector are at risk; Because of the lack of food stock.

UNRWA said that health care facilities in the sector are still affected by the depletion of medical supplies, stressing the need for blood units to perform life -saving surgeries.

The agency’s statement added that humanitarian aid and supplies have not entered the Gaza Strip since the second of last March.

It also indicated that the United Nations estimates indicate the displacement of nearly 420,000 people again since the ceasefire collapsed.

The agency confirmed that about 69% of the sector’s population are subject to continuous displacement orders.

The UN agency records that the resumption of bombing and the difficulty of the arrival of humanitarian supplies affects its ability to meet the needs of Gaza residents.
