The Monitoring Committee in the Municipality of the Private Sector in the General Union of Bahrain Trade Unions, which is concerned with monitoring labor issues and complaints with the Federation, revealed that 44 workers’ complaints were received to the General Union submitted by 25 workers and 19 workers, and the committee indicated that it had received 189 applications for assistance and advice submitted by 111 workers and 78 workers, during the first quarter of 2025 AD.
According to the classification of labor issues and the reasons for the separation during the period from January to March 2025, 31 cases were specialized in the subject of the separation, while 12 cases were related to the subject of rights and one case on the subject of arrest.
23 cases of separation were occurred under the item of Article 111, that is, the arbitrary separation, and 3 cases of separation under the item of Article 110 regarding the restructuring or total or partial closure, two cases were under the clause of Article 107 in the semester without notification or compensation and the same under the item of Article 21 of the separation during the experimental period, and one under the item of Article 109, i.e. the dismissal for incompetence.
Issues were distributed regarding sectors between the trade sector with 13 cases, construction with 10 cases, while 7 cases were recorded in the health sector and 5 cases in the services sector, 3 in the education sector, 2 in the security sector, two issues in the telecommunications and transport sector, while a case was recorded for the hotel sector, and another for the industrial sector.
