In the context of continuous efforts to enhance awareness of the importance of the obligatory zakat and its role in achieving social solidarity, the Zakat and Certificate Fund at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments announced the inauguration of three platforms in the City Center complex, the Avenues Complex, and the Al -Fateh Islamic Center throughout the blessed month of Ramadan.
Mr. Salah Haidar, Director of the Fund’s Department, stated that this step comes within the efforts of the fund to achieve its vision in achieving social solidarity through effective and fair management to contribute to enhancing confidence and social justice, in addition to introducing modern digital services that facilitate the donation process, whether through electronic applications or smart payment platforms, which keeps pace with digital development and facilitates donors to perform this obligatory and easily.
He added that the introductory platforms will provide visitors with the opportunity to identify the projects that the fund supervises, and direct communication with the public with the aim of enhancing awareness of the zakat duty and the virtue of alms, its importance and its role in developing society and consolidating the Islamic identity through these comprehensive awareness campaigns.
He also pointed out that the work teams will be present daily in these sites throughout the days of the holy month, to provide information about the provisions of Zakat and alms, to answer the audience’s inquiries, and to provide instructions on how to calculate zakat according to the legal standards. In addition, the electronic services provided by the fund will be displayed, which include the Zakat account electronically, online donation options, and follow the fund’s projects with full transparency.
The director of the administration concluded his statement by inviting the Holy Public to visit the platforms and benefit from the services provided, stressing the commitment of the fund to strengthen the community partnership and facilitate the performance of Zakat in a way that contributes to the consolidation of the values of solidarity and solidarity in society.
