Ukrainian President Foludmir Zellinski announced on Sunday evening that his replacement would not be “easy”, at a time when the administration of US President Donald Trump wants to leave because of his refusal to submit to the demands of Moscow.
“Given what is happening, given the support, my replacement simply will not be so easy,” Zellinski, who has not been removed from his military clothes since the Russian attack on his country in February 2022, told the press in London.
“The issue will not be just organizing elections. Rather, it will also have to be prevented from running, which will be somewhat more complicated,” Zellinski added.
The Ukrainian president, who is seeking to obtain security guarantees for his country in the event of a ceasefire, reminded that he had previously submitted his resignation in exchange for Ukraine joining NATO.
He said yesterday evening, “If there is a NATO and there is an end to the war, then this means that I have accomplished my mission,” he said yesterday evening.
Leaders of allied countries held Ukraine on Sunday in London to show their support for Kev and commit to more security in Europe and to enhance defense spending, while adhering to the necessity of strong support from the United States, after the acute argument between Trump and Zelinski.
