The Journalists Syndicate will hold tomorrow, March 16, a press conference at 2 pm in the round hall, Amin Al -Rafei Hall, to announce the details of the Egyptian Press Memory project.

The project aims to develop the union library, enhance its holdings, and preserve it for future generations within the framework of the union’s commitment to continuing its efforts in preserving Egypt’s journalistic and cultural heritage, and developing its library to remain a beacon for journalists, and researchers interested in the history of the Egyptian press.
The union invites all interested colleagues and researchers who wish to volunteer to support the project to attend the press conference.
The union announced last week the discovery of a rare manuscript dating back to the nineteenth century, during the inventory and development work, which the union is conducting for its library under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Azab, documentation expert and digitization projects, as a consultant to the Journalists Syndicate for Documentation and Development of the Library, and building a digital archive for the Egyptian press.
Earlier, the Journalists Syndicate announced the inauguration of the digital archive project for the Egyptian press, on August 15, and the project aims to collect the Egyptian press archives throughout its history and revive the historical treasures of the Egyptian press and its documents, with the development of the union library and its number, and the provision of rare books for researchers, journalists and Egyptian citizens.
