US Secretary of Commerce Howard Latnick announced that Washington has sold over the past 24 hours a thousand new “gold cards”, which grants the right to permanent residence in the country, with a total value of $ 5 billion.
“By the way, we sold yesterday a thousand cards yesterday,” Latnick said in an interview with the Podcast of all-in.
The minister pointed out that the program was launched on the initiative of President Donald Trump, and allows foreigners to obtain the right to permanent residence in the United States without the need to obtain citizenship.
The “Golden Card” holders pay taxes only for the income acquired within the United States, while their global income is not subject to taxes.
“If I don’t live in America, I would buy six cards – for myself, my wife, and my four children. I want to get the right to enter America in the event of war or any other catastrophe. I want to hear at the airport: ‘Welcome to the home, the Latnik family.”
The minister pointed out that in the event of a violation of the law, the card can be canceled, explaining that there are 37 million people in the world who are able to buy such a card.
He said that the launch of the program will provide opportunities to attract “the most productive people” to the United States, who will open business and create job opportunities here.
