The White House announced that the talks with the Palestinian Hamas movement are continuing, noting that it will not take on its details at the present time, according to media reports.
The White House explained, during a press statement this evening, Wednesday,: We are talking to everyone in good faith, and the Trump envoy authorized in consultation with everyone.
The White House pointed out that the United States of America had consulted with Israel on talks with the Palestinian Hamas movement.
Secret conversations directly with Hamas on the release of the hostages
Earlier today, Axios reported that the administration of US President Donald Trump is in direct secret talks with Hamas on the release of the American hostages detained in Gaza and the possibility of reaching a broader agreement to end the war, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
According to Axius, the talks conducted by the American Presidential Envoy for Prisoners’ Affairs Adam Bouhler, unprecedented, have never been directly involved with Hamas, which was ranked by a terrorist organization in 1997, and meetings took place between Bouhler and Hamas officials in Doha in recent weeks.
