Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting today; To follow up on the developments of the file of launching the management and operation of Egyptian airports in front of the private sector, in the presence of Dr. Sameh El -Hafni, Minister of Civil Aviation, Amani Mitwalli, the permanent undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Engineer Ayman Azab, President of the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, Penoit Tusrachi, Head of Business Development Department at the company “Vinci Concesssions”, and his accompanying delegation.
The Prime Minister is following the developments of the file of offering and operating Egyptian airports in front of the private sector
At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the interest of the various authorities of the state concerned with the continuous follow -up of the various steps for implementing the government proposals program, especially with regard to the file of Egyptian airports, in light of the keenness to implement the state’s royal policy document, support and enhance the role of the private sector in general, and increase its participation in various economic activities.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister directed the necessity of following up the studies carried out by the International Finance Corporation in preparation for the start of the management and operation of Egyptian airports in front of the private sector, expressing the government’s aspiration to cooperate with major international companies operating in this field.
For his part, the Minister of Civil Aviation referred to the experience of the Great Vincent Group in the field of airport management worldwide, expressing his happiness to receive the officials of the company that has great experience in the field of airport management, stressing the state’s interest in offering Egyptian airports to the private sector to management and operation.
He added: The state will launch airports at the end of the study carried out by the International Finance Corporation, which is the government adviser in the field of airport.
For his part, Benoit reviewed the company’s expertise in airport management worldwide, expressing his aspiration to cooperate with the government in this field through the offering process that the government undertakes to all companies operating in this field.
It should be noted that the “Vinci” group is one of the major companies specialized in airport management, which has expressed its willingness during the recent period to cooperate with the Egyptian government through the proposal program, as the meeting came within the framework of the “Vincent” group to review its experiences in this regard.
