The discussion axes in the government’s plan are to address the high prices of building materials and solutions aimed at addressing them at the required speed, identifying alternative plans when closing the only quarry in Bahrain by the end of 2025 and its effects on construction projects, evaluating the sufficiency of the number of tankers used to transport building materials through ports and steps taken from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and improving the supply mechanism for the local market.
The axes also include identifying the effects caused by the scarcity of building materials on the current development and government projects and alternative plans that will be taken, the role of government initiatives in encouraging investment in the building materials sector, identifying future plans on the possibility of concluding long -term agreements with the Gulf states guarantee providing building materials at fixed prices, the impact of the sustainability of alternative housing projects and the project of advantages as well as the development projects allocated to them specific budgets In light of the high prices of materials.
