The Agriculture Directorate in Port Said Governorate organized an indicative symposium on the diseases of the wheat crop in the South Port Said region, within the framework of the initiative of the Agricultural Research Center to stimulate and activate the role of agricultural guidance centers.

The Directorate stressed the importance of moderation in the irrigation dates, while avoiding the drowning or thirst, explaining that irrigation on the protector contributes to reducing the chances of disease, and the symposium stressed the need for periodic follow -up of the crop to early detection of any satisfactory symptoms and take the necessary measures as soon as they appear.
Specialists reviewed the most prominent wheat diseases, foremost of which are the three -rust diseases (yellow, orange, and black), which negatively affect the productivity of the crop in the event that they are not effective.
The Directorate explained that yellow rust is one of the most dangerous diseases of its ability to spread rapidly, while black rust is a threat in the late stages of growth, which requires the application of control programs at the appropriate time.
The symposium also dealt with the sheep of the coal, which leads to the damage of the pills and the milky white disease, which affects the efficiency of the optical construction process.
The Directorate emphasized that following the correct agricultural practices, such as using resistance seeds, balanced fertilization, and good management of irrigation, contributes to reducing the chances of infection with these diseases.
