I agree with those who say that it may be the “most difficult budget” in the history of Bahrain.
But I also see it in terms of passing and public or secret discussions between the legislative and executive authorities; Rather, it is the most difficult in terms of “challenge” in preserving the permanence of citizens’ gains without implementing any of the “pre -expectations” or “proposed scenarios”, which were concerned with raising or re -directing support in relation to electricity and fuel and raising the percentage of added tax.
We will not reveal a secret if we say that there was a state of anxiety during the last period in the street, during the many discussions and meetings that took place between the two authorities, and what increased in raising the percentage of anxiety is those leaks that were published in the form of news with secret sources, or that did not disclose their identity, and the reason is that whether they are “leaks” or “pulse” sensors, they made people put a thousand scenarios and scenario when it will happen The negativity overwhelmed and the expectations of worrying matters increased, and this is normal and expected.
Here we always repeat the same hope and demand, as in such important and sensitive matters because they are directly related to the citizen, specifically to the level of his living and pocket and what he pays from fees and others, from the disturbing, disturbing and psychologically tired of people, he left the field open to leaks here and there, or jurisprudence from individuals who have qualities in society, especially if they were some deputies themselves, and the last category is for the mention here for a good reason. It is acceptable to reveal things that have not yet been resolved with the executive authority, or to publish expectations and possibilities; Because you will “confuse people”, and perhaps in closed sessions of discussions are not resolved yet, and you may change or back down in the last moments. And also an important point, you are as a deputy, it is assumed that you are a “safety valve” for those who elected you, and it is not permissible to “panic or break down” and you will broadcast these feelings for “people terrifying”.
Now, the operation ended, the discussions were completed, and the parties have reached consensus, the results are assumed that they have removed the anxiety about people, and he dispelled a lot of fears, especially with the announcement of the return of the retirees’ increase in retroactively, the lack of prejudice to the support concerned with electricity, water and fuel, and the lack of increased value -added tax. All of them were contrary to what was spread and published in many platforms and people traded, and they are anxious and anxious. The citizen is the goal of “facilitation”, and because government and legislative work is assumed for this citizen, the farthest access to it is “insulting.”
In general, the results of the issue that they thank for the efforts of the executive and legislative authorities are thankful, and thank the Ministry of Finance’s efforts, its minister and staff who deal today with a very difficult file, as they have a responsibility to reconcile and balance the citizen’s gains and stabilize his status and the permanence of services and others, and between financial obligations, challenges, inflation and other matters that govern expense, and affect income.
Finally, it is a note that we see very important, as people always need more information and more accurate details, and explain any new orientation, strategy or mechanism, so as not to leave matters for interpretation, assumption and diligence, all of which may not reflect the complete truth. Accordingly, we have received many questions, and also spread on social media, just like the “citizen account”, as how will it be applied?! How will the support mechanism be?! What will change the current situation when this new mechanism is applied?! Here, the adequate explanation will be required, and I think it will be in the next one.
We pray to God to reconcile all efforts in this country to overcome the challenges, and that the economy rise strongly, and to reduce this public debt, so that we can ensure the financial stability of the country, improve the living of the citizen and achieve the gains that he aspires to and hopes for.
