Within the framework of strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors, to develop the technical and knowledge skills of employees working in the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, in order to enhance the efficiency of performance of human cadres and keep pace with modern trends in the financial and economic sector, the Ministry of Finance and National Economy has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (BIBF), with the aim of providing development and training solutions to the Ministry’s employees.
The agreement was signed by the Ministry of Finance and National Economy His Excellency Mr. Youssef Abdullah Al -Hamoud, Undersecretary for Financial Affairs, and by the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies, Dr. Ahmed Al -Sheikh, CEO of the Institute.
On this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Youssef Abdullah Al -Hamoud, Undersecretary for Financial Affairs, affirmed the Ministry of Finance and National Economy’s keenness to continue implementing a number of specialized training programs that aim to raise the level of professional skills for employees and refine their capabilities, in line with the latest international standards and practices. His Excellency also pointed out that this agreement contributes to enabling the ministry to provide employees with the latest skills and knowledge necessary to achieve the desired goals in promoting financial and economic competencies and expertise, which reflects positively on job performance.
He also praised his happiness at the importance of investing in human capital, as he indicated that developing competencies and skills for employees is a basic pillar of achieving the Kingdom’s vision of digital transformation and innovation. Considering cooperation with the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies reflects the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing the educational and training environment.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Al -Sheikh, CEO of the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies, expressed that this partnership with the Ministry of Finance and National Economy represents an important step towards achieving our common aspirations in promoting Bahrain’s economic future. Pointing out that this partnership is the beginning of an innovative trip in developing national capabilities, expanding the prospects for financial and economic training, and enabling Bahraini competencies.
