Organize National Center for TranslationHeaded by Dr. Karma Sami, in cooperation with the Popular Heritage Center at the Faculty of Arts – Cairo University, headed by Dr. Najla Raafat, a scientific conference, in the Taha Hussein Hall in the center, to highlight the scientific and creative product of Professor Dr. Ahmed Shams Al -Din Al -Hajjaji, one of the most prominent Egyptian critics and creators.
The Ministry of Culture celebrates Ahmed Shams Al -Din Al -Hajjaji at the National Center for Translation and honors the winners of the translator scout competition
The conference dealt with Al -Hajjaji’s march in the fields of modern and old literature, popular literature, theater, criticism, and creative writing, within the framework of the National Center for Translation to celebrate Egypt’s creators, by translating their works into other languages. The fifteenth edition of the “Translator Scout” competition was dedicated to this year to highlight its creations.
During her speech at the conference, Dr. Karama Sami Shams Al -Din Al -Hajjaji said he is a critic who represents me and expresses me, as he is more important than foreign critics who relied on them in my studies, because of the warmth that emanates from his writings, the mix of creativity, morals, sincerity, and credibility that distinguishes his style, as he praised his writings that link the legend and the theater, indicating his deep effect in the field And the technician.
The conference witnessed the participation of a group of senior Egyptian thinkers and academics, among them Dr. Sami Suleiman, Dr. Khaled Abu Al -Layl, Dr. Sahar Mohamed Fathi, Dr. Khairi Doma, Dr. Alaa Al -Jabri, Dr. Azza Shibl, Dr. Tamer Fayez, and Dr. Ghada Swailem, along with a number of professors of the Department of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Arts – Cairo University and the People’s Heritage Center.
At the end of the event, Dr. Karma Sami and Dr. Sami Suleiman honored the winners of the “Scout of Translators” competition, confirming the role of the center in supporting young translators and highlighting the creativity of Egyptian writers in front of the world.
