Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, met with Linda Cook, CEO of Harbor Energy, where ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides in the field of research and exploration and follow -up plans to increase natural gas production from the company’s concession areas in Egypt were reviewed.

During the meeting on the sidelines of participation in the World Ceweek International Energy Conference in Houston, Texas, the latest developments on the recently successful excavation activities in the Mediterranean Sea, in the north of Alexandria, in which the company in Egypt is investing as a partner for the main operator Bricch Petroleum, as well as emphasizing the importance of speeding up development operations for new discoveries and the speed of linking it to existing facilities by reducing production costs, It reduces the time of placing wells on production to achieve the optimal benefit in supporting local production of natural gas, and the development and increase of successful gas production in the Revin field in the Mediterranean in partnership also with Brech Petroleum.
The meeting dealt with the company’s interest in increasing the volume of its investments in Egypt, in line with the strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Egyptian Mineral Resources.
On the other hand, Eng. Karim Badawi praised the strategic relationship with Harbor Energy, confirming the Egyptian government’s commitment to providing all means of support to international investors and partners by providing a stimulating investment environment and facilitating supportive measures to increase production and achieving the maximum benefit from petroleum and gas wealth according to balanced relations that achieve common interests, and his aspiration to maximize Harbour to work in the exploration and development sector Fields in Egypt.
