The Constitutional Court in South Korea, today, Thursday, March 24th, has set a date for issuing its ruling on the isolation of South Korean Prime Minister Han Duk-Sa, against the background of allegations related to attempting to impose martial law. According to the Yonhap Agency, quoting the court’s notification of the press, the ruling will be issued on Monday morning after three months of his isolation by the National Assembly last December, due to accusations related to the attempt of South Korean President Yun Siuk-Fiol to impose martial law.
The court clarified that the support of the isolation means the dismissal of Han Duk-Sso, while his refusal would lead to his return to his position, with the approval of at least six judges out of eight. The lawsuit includes five reasons, including his alleged involvement in martial law, refusing to appoint additional judges to the court, and obstructing special investigations against Yoon and First Lady Kim Keon-Ah. Han denied the accusations, confirming his opposition to martial law and his failure to participate in the deployment of forces in the National Assembly.
The court has not yet decided the date of the ruling on the removal of President Yun Siuk -ol related to the same case.
