The Kingdom of Bahrain continues its pioneering role in spreading peace and tolerance, and these efforts have been crowned with the United Nations approval recently on the initiative that Bahrain provided to promote global peace. Where the initiative reflects the faith of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him with the values of peace, tolerance, coexistence, human cooperation, and dialogue between religions and cultures, which are values that are in line with the teachings of the true Islamic religion, and Bahrain has always devoted its efforts to establish it at the global level until the Kingdom has become a leading model in promoting the values of tolerance and spreading the culture of peace between peoples.
The Kingdom of Bahrain has a great balance in the global peaceful work that serves humanity, which is what it has for the appreciation of prestigious international institutions and many international awards in appreciation of the role of its leader in spreading international peace and tolerance, which made Bahrain a global position as a country supporting global stability. Among its most prominent achievements in this context is its proposal to adopt a world day for the conscience, which was approved by the United Nations in 2019 to be a day to enhance human values and peace between peoples.
Islam confirms that peace is the basis on which societies are built. This is what Bahrain applies through its initiative, which aims to consolidate the culture of dialogue and understanding between peoples, away from violence and conflicts, as well as respecting international laws and legitimacy and not interfering in the affairs of others.
Approval of this initiative by the United Nations is a victory for the values of goodness and love, as it contributes to strengthening a global environment of understanding and mutual respect, which achieves good for all humanity. It also establishes the role of Bahrain as an initiative in promoting global peace.
This initiative also reflects the essence of the national identity derived from Islamic law, where the Kingdom is defined as a unique model of tolerance and coexistence with various religions and cultures in peace. Just as His Majesty the King emphasized that: “Tolerance and coexistence are an inherent approach in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is the key to stability and prosperity.” This reflects the nature of the Bahrainis as a tolerant, peace -loving people, and always initiative in humanitarian work. Therefore, Bahrain’s commitment to establishing peace is not just a policy, but rather a rooted approach in its national culture and identity, which makes it a role model in achieving peaceful coexistence between humanity.
The great global balance enjoyed by the leadership of Bahrain in the field of global peace, the establishment of tolerance, the pursuit of regional security, and the establishment of a culture of cultural and religious pluralism, has made the United Nations meet Bahrain’s call to the global conscience to agree to its global initiative, which confirms that peace is the curriculum and the road map for the stability of the world and avoiding violence and conflicts.
One of the most prominent initiatives that reflect this trend is the King Hamad International Center for Peaceful Coexistence, which was established to be a global platform that enhances interfaith dialogue and supports efforts to build tolerant societies. In his high speech, His Majesty stressed the importance of tolerance and coexistence by saying: “Bahrain was and will remain a homeland for coexistence and openness, as everyone lives in harmony and mutual respect.”
These efforts stem from the unique nature of Bahrain, as it is a multicultural country where citizens and residents of various religions and races coexist in harmony, which reflects the deep spirit of tolerance that the Bahraini people have. His Majesty the great king affirmed this principle by saying: “We believe that diversity is a source of strength, and tolerance is the way to a more prosperous and safer future.”
Bahrain lived and its leader lived as a symbol of peace, tolerance and goodness of humanity.
