The Media Center of the Council of Ministers denied what was published on some social media pages and websites about the work of conducting, demolishing and cutting trees and rare plants in the Heritage Oid Park located in the Zamalek region of Cairo Governorate.

The media center of the council indicated that communication has been made with the competent government agencies, which confirmed that the ongoing work is related to developing and raising the efficiency of the obelisk and the surrounding area within a comprehensive plan to develop and benefit from its components, which is carried out with the approval of the National Agency for Civilization Coordination, and by following the guide for the development of heritage gardens, and with the participation of agricultural experts, heritage gardens, restoration and antiquities.
The Media Center of the Council of Ministers confirmed that the government sought to preserve all the heritage and historical parks in all governorates of the Republic, where many projects and work were implemented and the efficiency of many of these gardens at the level of the Republic and their reopening to citizens, and all rare trees and plants were preserved in the developed gardens.
