After more than three months of promoting the masterpieces of the Bahraini gold formulation craft, the Historic State Museum in the Russian capital, Moscow, witnessed the conclusion of the exhibition “From the Treasures of Bahrain: the art of drafting gold through the ages”.
The exhibition opened its doors with a high-ranking Bahraini-Russian presence in November last year, as this host came within the “Bahraini Cultural Days in Moscow” that was held in the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and the Russian Ministry of Culture during the historic visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, the country, may God protect and preserve him to the Republic of Russia.
Through its exhibits, the exhibition presented a glimpse of the history of gold formulation in Bahrain, starting from the Taylaus period about 2000 years ago, through the Islamic period to the modern era, and it was a unique opportunity to see the skill of Bahraini craftsmen in formulating and forming gold, and the exhibition also included holdings from the “Al -Manna Jewelry” group, in addition to tools and documents documenting the Kingdom’s efforts to preserve this ancient craftsmanship and shed light on this The vital sector and its role in the local economy.
In a continuous context, the memorandum of understanding between the two sides also included hosting the Kingdom of Bahrain for the “Russian Cultural Seasons” program, which coincided with the celebration of the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Federal Republic of Russia. The program witnessed the establishment of a group of distinguished events, starting from the Orchestral Marineski show at the Bahrain National Theater and the governmental dance band of the Republic of Dagestan, “Lizginka”. The Russian cultural seasons will continue during the year 2025, when two cultural activities will be presented, the first of which will be presented with the famous international “hazelnut crusher” ballet in the Bahrain National Theater, while the cultural hall will host the Osipov orchestra from the National Academy of Russian Folk Specifications with the participation of a popular arts group from Bahrain.
