Young people are the backbone of any society, and the nations have always bet on their ability to achieve development through leadership and innovation, as they represent hope in improving various sectors such as technology, education, and politics, and it is not strange that the Kingdom of Bahrain on the twenty -fifth of March celebrate the Bahraini Youth Day, in honor of the tenders of youth and their prominent contributions in supporting the comprehensive development process in the Kingdom, until the Bahraini model in caring for and developing youth became an example to be followed The level of the region, where the Kingdom provided an incubator environment for creativity and excellence, which enabled its youth to raise the name of Bahrain in regional and international forums.
The celebration of Youth Day comes as an opportunity to document Bahrain’s distinguished achievements in empowering and developing its youth and appreciating their creative contributions in various fields, and these achievements would not have been achieved without the great support from the wise leadership of His Majesty the King, and the role of the government in creating a supportive environment that enhances the leadership of youth and consolidate the culture of creativity and comprehensive development.
This celebration comes as an affirmation of the role of the pioneering Bahraini youth under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which reflects the wise vision of His Majesty the King in enhancing the position of youth as an essential pillar in building the future.
The Kingdom of Bahrain is interested in youth comprehensively, as it is keen to invest in their energies as the basis on which the country is based and revised. This trend has strengthened the launch of the Bahraini youth day by a decision of the Council of Ministers headed by His Highness the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister since 2021, which opened the way for highlighting the distinguished youth models and encouraging them to continue success and innovation.
This occasion coincides with pioneering initiatives led by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty for Charitable Work and Youth Affairs, and His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, where they seek to enhance the role of youth and develop their skills at various levels.
The Kingdom of Bahrain has taken responsibility for providing many opportunities for these young people to participate effectively in national development efforts and achieve achievements, and the past celebrations on Bahraini Youth Day showed great interest in this category at the governmental and private level, and also confirmed the position of young people in His Majesty’s vision of the future of the country.
These efforts helped enhance the spirit of persistence and challenge for emerging generations, and highlighted their contributions in various fields by supporting their endeavors for creativity and embodying the Kingdom’s aspirations in sustainable development. Practical steps that positively affected their support on social, educational, cultural, health and sports levels can be observed.

On the other hand, the mixing of intellectual and practical frameworks is the cornerstone of Bahrain’s strategy towards young people, as the Kingdom focuses on their upbringing according to the values of national affiliation and promoting social responsibility, in addition to providing the latest educational and scientific means to ensure their qualification to compete in the labor market in harmony with the developments of the times, and the program of government cadres development is considered one of the most prominent examples that highlight Bahrain’s interest in youth and qualify them to bear Leadership responsibilities in the future, as well as the program of Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to develop government cadres and the global scholarship program highlighting the government’s commitment to providing Bahraini youth with modern knowledge to enable them to achieve excellence at the global level.
This national youth day represents an opportunity to show the importance of young cadres in achieving national progress, as His Majesty expresses his constant appreciation for their efforts, and stresses the need to support this group to ensure their continued achievements with high professionalism and global competitiveness.
These efforts are consistent with the Kingdom’s vision to enhance its pioneering role in regional and international forums. The royal vision of youth enabled the achievement of a major development boom in various sectors, as it laid firm foundations to enable them to contribute effectively to building the homeland. The necessary capabilities have also been provided to develop their scientific, cognitive and training capabilities, which helps them to communicate in the language of the new era, and contributes to building a promising future for Bahrain.
Among the most prominent national initiatives concerned with youth is the national strategy to empower youth (2023-2028), which represents a comprehensive framework for developing their skills and arming them with scientific and life qualifications that qualify them to face global challenges. This strategy is based on three main axes: competitiveness, justice, and openness, as well as creating an environment that stimulates entrepreneurship and support for mental and physical health.
The initiatives also include the “King Hamad Prize for Youth Empowerment to achieve the goals of sustainable development” and the “government cadres development” program led by His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the “Youth City 2030” project, in addition to the Nasser bin Hamad International Prize for Youth Creativity, and other projects aimed at benefiting from the capabilities of youth to advance sustainable development.
The Al -Amal Fund was established on the initiative of His Majesty to support Bahraini youth projects and initiatives and enhance entrepreneurship. The fund aims to direct startups and enable talents to achieve success and continuity, which contributes to stimulating the Bahraini economy and youth participation in national development.
Bahrain also launched the Gold Bank initiative under the patronage of His Majesty the King, to highlight the youth achievements that raise the name of the Kingdom high. The bank contains information and pictures of the distinguished who contributed to the success of Bahrain in various fields, which enhances national affiliation and citizenship values.
In view of the population increase for young people in Bahrain, the Kingdom seeks to involve them in making important decisions and arm them with practical solutions to meet the challenges, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs organized a virtual youth summit during the year 2020 to emphasize their pivotal role even under the circumstances of the pandemic.
Al -Mabra Al -Khalifiya Foundation also seeks to enable the youth of Bahrain by developing their educational and personal skills in line with the goals of the Bahrain Vision 2030. The Foundation offers programs that focus on enhancing the competencies required for the labor market and enhancing the leadership spirit among young people in a way that contributes to developing society as a whole.
Among the initiatives, Al -Amal Network, is a strategic initiative led by the Kingdom of Bahrain to enhance global youth cooperation by building a unified international network that encourages the exchange of ideas and practices, and the network aims to create a supportive environment for developing youth capabilities globally through the exchange of strategic national policies and plans that focus on the youth category, and it seeks to enhance the role of youth as a stimulating force to achieve sustainable development at the international level. The Ministry of Youth Affairs also seeks from During the “exceptional volunteer” initiative to consolidate the culture of volunteering among young people, and encourage them to active community participation.
The initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of volunteer work and enhance its ethics, with a focus on the vital role it plays in the development of societies, and volunteer areas cover vital sectors such as the environment, health, education, culture, sports, and relief.
