The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority participated in the ITB Berlin Tourism Exhibition (ITB Berlin), which was held in the German capital from 4 to 6 March, and is one of the largest specialized exhibitions in the tourism and travel sector in the world, as it brings together a group of decision -makers and experts in the tourism industry, as well as hospitality companies, trips and investors from different countries.
The authority’s participation comes within the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pavilion, which includes 14 sides of the national tourism companies and hospitality institutions, with the aim of highlighting the various tourism elements that the Kingdom abounds, and promoting the major events that it hosts, such as the Bahrain Grand Prix for Gulf Airlines Formula 1, and participation aims to enhance cooperation with international tourism markets, and attract more tourists by highlighting the modern infrastructure that makes the Kingdom of Bahrain an ideal destination for tourism And investment.
In this context, Miss Dana Osama Al-Saad, Executive Vice President of Resources and Projects at the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, stressed that the Kingdom’s participation in this international exhibition comes within the framework of the authority’s strategy to enhance Bahrain’s presence in global tourism markets, noting that Germany is one of the main markets targeted within the tourism strategy 2022-2026. Al -Saad said: “The Berlin Tourist Show is an important platform for exchanging experiences, building strategic partnerships with international companies, and introducing tourism experiences provided by Bahrain, which meets the aspirations of international tourists looking for a rich and varied tourism experience.”
She added that the exhibition constitutes an opportunity to explore the latest trends in the travel and tourism sector, especially in light of the accelerating digital transformations taking place in the industry, noting that Bahrain seeks to adopt international best practices to enhance its tourism attractiveness. It also emphasized that the authority is keen to employ this global event to highlight the investment opportunities in the Bahraini tourism sector, and to support the Kingdom’s efforts to diversify the sources of income and enhance the contribution of tourism to the national economy.
