Reuters news agency reported the assassination of a member of the political bureau of Hamas, Salah Al -Bardawil, in an Israeli raid in the southern Gaza Strip.

Earlier, the Israeli occupation army announced the start of a ground operation in Rafah, south of Gaza, allegedly targeting the elements of the Palestinian Hamas movement, according to the Hebrew newspaper called Aharonot.
A spokesman for the Israeli occupation army said that the Israeli forces have expanded their operations in the southern Gaza Strip, and continue their operations in the north and central Gaza Strip.
