The electricity consumption bill increased between 35 and 45 million pounds per month for each of the telecommunications companies in Egypt, equivalent to 150 to 170 million pounds per month for the four companies, since August 2024, according to sources for Cairo 24.

Say Sources In statements to Cairo 24, that telecommunications companies will pay more than half a billion pounds annually to the electricity company.
Telecom companies resorted to moving their services prices by an average of 30% at the beginning of this month, after increases of 100% in some production requirements during the last two years.
The companies Ziada approved this year 2024, the first in the beginning of January 2024 by 15 and 20%, and the second increase in December at a rate of 30%, to be the total increase during the year 50%.
A few weeks before the second increase in the prices of telecommunications services, 3 telecommunications companies obtained the fifth generation license, with a value of more than 450 million dollars, with the provision of ESIM services in Egypt.
