Counselor Abdel -Wahab Abdel Razek, Speaker of the Senate, received today at the headquarters of the Council, Pedro Rolan, Speaker of the Spanish Senate and his accompanying delegation, who is currently making an official visit to Egypt.

The visit comes in response to the invitation of Counselor Abdel -Wahab Abdel Razek to consolidate the bonds of parliamentary cooperation between the two councils.
The counselor “Abdel Razek” welcomed his Spanish counterpart, stressing the importance of historical relations between Egypt and Spain and the Senate’s keenness to strengthen the bilateral relationship with the Spanish Senate, expressing his aspiration to reach it to the highest levels to achieve the interests of the two friendly peoples in various fields.
The Speaker of the Egyptian Senate appreciated the Spanish position in support of Arab issues in the European Parliament, the European Union and other international forums, praising Spain’s position on the Palestinian issue based on the need to respect international law and international norms.
For his part, the Spanish Speaker of the Senate expressed his happiness at his presence in Egypt, stressing that this visit expresses his appreciation and the accompanying delegation to Egypt and its historical role in the region.
