Omar Al -Soma, striker of the Arab Al -Orouba team and the historic goalscorer of the Saudi Roshen League, expressed his happiness with the victory of his country, Syria over Pakistan, with two goals without a response, in the opening of the Group VI matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Al -Soma confirmed in statements to Al -Sharq Al -Awsat newspaper that the victory is important, but he pointed to the weakness of the opponent, saying: “Winning two goals over a team that does not have a league in his country, this is sufficient,” referring to the need to achieve stronger results in the upcoming matches to ensure qualification.

Al -Soma: We aspire to qualify despite the difficult circumstances

Al -Soma added that the Syrian team is seeking to reach the World Cup Finals, especially with its possession of a group of distinguished players, but it did not hide the team’s influence on the difficult circumstances that the country has gone through in the past years.

Historical scorer competition is not the most important

Regarding his struggle with Abdel Razzaq Hamdallah, the youth striker, for the title of historical scorer for the Roshn League, Al -Soma explained that his priority is now not individual numbers, but rather a guarantee of his team’s survival in the Professional League.

Arabism is thirteenth place in the Roshen League standings with 26 points after 25 rounds, and Al -Soma continues to lead the team to achieve positive results to ensure staying in the Premier League.
