Dr. Hassan Al -Numani, President of Sohag University, honored the sports university teams that have achieved remarkable successes in the last period during their participation in a number of meetings organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education for students of Egyptian universities and institutes.
He stressed that the university administration is keen to honor its talented and distinguished students in all student activities, and motivate them to continue success and excellence in a way that does not hinder their academic and scientific achievement, thanks to the General Administration of Central Youth Welfare for its full support and care for students, wishing them continued success in winning medals and cups that raise the university name high among Egyptian universities.
Sohag University honors its students who won sports championships
For his part, Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, congratulated the honored students who won advanced positions in many sports championships and forums, stressing that the university is proud of having young human cadres capable of competing strongly in various fields of student activities, explaining that such meetings are a good opportunity to exchange experiences and skills between the participants, and prepare and qualify students to practice student activities Permanently, noting that the education and students sector is keen to develop an annual plan for student activities commensurate with students ’skills and capabilities and meets their technical, sports and cultural needs and talents, while providing all material and logistical support to implement these activities in the optimal way.
Dr. Mohamed Kamal, General Coordinator of Student Activities, said that the university president honored the university’s hand, basketball and foot teams, who achieved advanced positions during their participation in the sports session known as the 52nd martyr Al -Rifai course, organized by the Egyptian Sports Federation for Egyptian universities and institutes, as well as honoring members of the administrative and technical staff and supervisors accompanying the delegations.
Dr. Ahmed Atef, Director General of the General Administration of Central Youth Welfare, added that the honor also included students with the first place in the table tennis championship, students, the basketball team, students and the five -year football team, students of the second place at the level of Egyptian universities, during their participation in the South Universities Games Festival in its sixth edition, which was held in Luxor Governorate under the slogan of youth of the new universities of the Republic.
Nashaat Abbas, Director of Sports Activity Department, stated that the university president also honored the students who won the University Bodybuilding Championship, with which 75 students participated in weights from 60 to 100 kilometers, and was arrested by the Sohag for Bodybuilding.
Hamada Habayer, Director of Mobile and Public Service Department, said that the students who obtained the first positions were honored at the conclusion of the eighth scout and guidance festival of Julawali and the colleges mobile phones, in which 200 students participated and included a number of competitions in the religious, cultural, scouting, scientific, technical, and public service fields.
