Saudi Arabia expressed its condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli government’s decision to stop the entry of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and use it as a blackmail and collective punishment.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Sunday evening, that this matter represents a flagrant violation of international law and a direct violation of the rules of international humanitarian law in light of the humanitarian catastrophe to which the Palestinian people are exposed.

The Kingdom renewed its call to the international community to stop these serious Israeli violations, activate international accounting mechanisms and ensure sustainable access to aid.

Egypt had condemned the decision issued by the Israeli government to stop the introduction of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and the closure of the crossings used in humanitarian relief work.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration said today, Sunday, that these measures are a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement, international humanitarian law, the Fourth Geneva Convention and all religious laws.

The statement stressed the absence of any justification, circumstance or logic that could allow the use of the starvation of innocent civilians and the imposition of the blockade on them, especially during the month of Ramadan as a weapon against the Palestinian people.

According to the statement, Egypt called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop all illegal and inhuman practices targeting civilians and condemning attempts to achieve political purposes by endangers the lives of innocent people.
