The Chairman of the Parliamentary Financial and Economic Affairs Committee, Ahmed Al-Salloum, confirmed that the state’s general budget project for the two financial years 2025-2026 will witness an increase of 40 dinars for all retirees.
Al -Salloum said in a statement to “Al -Watan” that in the previous budget, the living improvement premium for retirees was increased by 40 dinars, and the bonus became 190 dinars for those who greet salaries less than 700 dinars, and 165 dinars for their salaries starting from 701 to 1500 dinars.
Al -Salloum said: «As for the current budget, it has been increased 40 dinars, so that the bonus becomes 230 dinars for those who receive salaries less than 700 dinars, and 205 dinars for those whose salaries start from 701 to 1500 dinars, in addition to 40 dinars for those who give up pension salaries in excess of 1500 dinars.
For his part, the Vice -Chairman of the Parliamentary Financial and Economic Affairs Committee, Mohamed Al -Marafi, confirmed that the budget project will be discussed in today’s session.
He pointed out that the project witnessed the continued support of electricity and water for the Bahraini citizen in its first residence, in addition to the continued support of gasoline, stressing that the price of a barrel of oil in the current budget is estimated at $ 60.
According to the budget project, the state’s revenues in the fiscal two -year budget are estimated at 2025 and 2026 at an amount Twenty thousand dinars), and the share of the fiscal year 2026 is an amount of 3.459,345,000 dinars (three billion, four hundred and fifty nine million, three hundred and forty five thousand dinars).
The total expenses of the state are estimated at the financial budget of 2025 and 2026 in the amount of 8,916,664,000 dinars (eight billion nine hundred and sixteen million six hundred and sixty -four thousand dinars, the share of the fiscal year is 2025 amount of 4.379.673,000 dinars (four billion three hundred and seventy nine million six hundred and seventy three thousand dinars), And the share of the fiscal year 2026 is 4.536.991,000 dinars (four billion five hundred and thirty -six million nine hundred and ninety -one thousand dinars).
