The Services Committee approved the proposal with a desire to increase the number of nursing missions at the College of Health Sciences.
The proposal aims to qualify and employ more Bahraini nurses, after all the unemployed Bahraini nurses were employed, by increasing the number of nursing missions to the College of Health Sciences to meet the needs of the health sector. For its part, the Ministry of Health indicated that the Supreme Health Council coordinates with those in charge of the College of Health Sciences and the Labor Market to discuss and study the requirements of the health market and the need to supply the health sector with health workers, especially in the nursing sector according to the required need in light of the available resources and vacancies.
She stated that the council is looking to expand the graduation of specialized cadres in the nursing sector, by providing specialized studies that lack the presence of national nursing cadres in it, and confirmed the efforts of the College of Health Sciences to expand students ‘acceptance in the Bachelor’s degree in Nursing according to the requirements of the health market, as the college seeks to enhance academic and logistical resources to expand students’ acceptance, in cooperation with all parties with itself Relationship.
The Ministry of Education stated that it sets the general policy of scholarships and scholarships to meet the needs of society and the requirements of comprehensive development in the Kingdom, and indicated that it was allocated in the scholarships plan for the academic year (2024 m – 2025 m) 300 academic mission to specialize in nursing in each of the College of Health and Sports Sciences at Bahrain University, and at the Arab Gulf University.
The Ministry affirmed its endeavor to include most of the required specializations within the annual missions plan in accordance with the priorities within the framework of the availability of the budget allocated to that, and that the specializations presented and the number may change from one year to another according to the information and data received by the Ministry about the need of the labor market and ministries and bodies of various specialties, so the opinion of the concerned authorities must be known to determine their needs of these specialties.
