The Parliamentary Services Committee approved the proposal with a desire for the work of the Labor Fund (Tamkeen) to create a special program to support the wages of players, coaches and members of the technical and administrative bodies of citizens working and practicing work contracts or professionalism in all sports in local clubs throughout their decades, which “Tamkeen” saw a possible reason for economic problems related to the job stability of Bahrainis.
For his part, Tamkeen stated, in his views, that he approved a set of programs and projects that target all private sector institutions and all Bahraini individuals who meet the conditions for benefiting from these programs and projects, stressing the entitlement of players, coaches and members of the technical and administrative bodies in all sports in local clubs to benefit from support through the wage support program, which ranges between 3 to 5 years.
The fund indicated that, in offering its programs, the fund is keen to achieve the balance between the support provided and the ability to sustain jobs for individuals and not limit them to a temporary period.
He believed that the proposal with a desire to create jobs that depend on the fund’s support is completely and continuously regardless of the sporting contracts, which vary from a few months to years, which may create economic problems related to the functional stability of Bahrainis in the aforementioned sector, the sustainability of jobs in it, and the extent of their feasibility due to its association with permanent support.
