The Parliamentary Facilities and Environment Committee approved the proposal with a desire to increase the maximum age of the age of divorced, widowed or deserted woman, who has a son or more as a condition to own a housing unit or require financing for purchase or building a residence to sixty years instead of fifty years.
The proposal aims to avoid the problems that occur within the same family as a result of the registration of the housing unit in the name of the eldest son.
For its part, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning stated that the aim of the proposal with a desire to raise the maximum of divorced, widowed or abandoned woman to benefit from the housing service is achieved, especially after expanding the standards for the fifth category, for women’s requests.
